Keeping healthy lifestyle habits help fight off cold and flu season

These should be obvious to most of us, however, a good reminder is needed so we remember the importance of these things during the winter months.

Clean Well

Wash your hands and regularly clean high-touch surfaces like counters, door handles, electronics and desks. Make sure plates, cups, and utensils are washed and sanitized to prevent the growth of other bacteria.

Stress Management

This is key in supporting your overall health and immune system. Techniques such as physical activity, meditation, breathing exercises, and listening to music are some ways you can incorporate stress-free moments throughout the day. Plus, physical activity helps reduce your risk for other chronic diseases!

Get the Recommended Amount of Sleep

The recommendations are about 7-9 hours for adults and 8-14 hours for children (varies by age).  Not sleeping well or enough impacts the body in multiple ways, including weakening the immune system.
